De oprichters van het jonge bedrijf aBBout zijn ervaren senior managers. Beiden hebben na een academische scholing carriere gemaakt bij bedrijven als IBM, Lenovo, Atos Origin, en Stratagem Group. Daarin adviseurs, project management, en senior management- en bestuurs- rollen gehad. Eindverantwoordelijk geweest voor omvangrijke afdelingen met een grote verantwoordelijkheid voor de winstgevendheid, klanten, toeleveranciers, én het personeel.

Maatschappelijke verantwoordelijkheid willen ze graag in de praktijk brengen. Zie daar het bedrijf aBBout , het moet per slot van rekening om iets gaan.

ir. Hans van den Broek

Hans van den Broek (Business Administration, Msc) has specialized in sales management and operational excellence. As a former General Manager and Chief Operations Officer at Lenovo International ¹, he has a broad background in building professional sales organizations and process innovation.

Hans van den Broek graduated in 1986 in Business Engineering (Msc) at at the University of Twente and started his career at IBM in The Netherlands in Sales and Marketing. He stood at the base of IBM´s highly successful IT Outsourcing business in Europe. His international career includes a 2 year assignment at IBM South Africa where he was responsible for the delivery of System Integration and Consultancy projects.

In 2005, Hans van den Broek joined Lenovo where he assumed responsibility for the Dutch operation and subsequently for the overall operational efficiency, supply-demand planning and process optimization of Lenovo in Western Europe.

In 2009, Hans started with former colleague and friend Peter Boeijink a new business initiative aBBout . aBBout  is a professional services company that supports customers in building a more sustainable and efficient business operation. Core propositions of aBBout  include: • IT Sourcing Services  and • Sustainability Services

 
Peter started his working life at IBM in the Netherlands as consultant in 1988, after finishing his BSc and MSc in Computer Science. After 11 years in serveral mangerial positions, Peter became director at IBM responsible for all technical services. In 2002, Peter got inspired by a post MBA Leadership course to extend responsibility towards the community and succeeded by becoming public selected member of the community board in Bloemendaal. In that respect, Peter is nowadays leader of the liberal party, the largest fraction in the board.

In 2003 Peter moved to Atos Origin to become Vice President responsible for the IT outsourcing in the domain of workstations and management of 70.000 of them. Included in the responsibilities was the global development of the services portfolio, considering all innovation in workstation hardware and software by leading parties as Microsoft and Intel.

In 2007, Peter started his own company and joined also in 2008 the Stratagem Group. His field of expertise is in leading innovation by linking companies in a joint vision. He manages feasibility projects e.g. the European Knowledge Center on Composities, and studies "How the aviation industry lead in maintenance knowledge can contribute to the offshore windenergy developments.

Together with former colleague Hans van den Broek he started the company aBBout in 2009.

In his spare time, Peter is Rotary member and plays golf (but not spending enough time on it) and enjoys tennis.
